Fluorometer Screen Freezes or Won't Power On

Symptom
Qubit Fluorometer screen becomes unresponsive, freezes, or instrument will not turn on
Common Causes
  1. 1 Software/firmware malfunction
  2. 2 Connection issues with computer (Qubit 1.0)
  3. 3 Power supply interruption
  4. 4 Firmware update in progress (do not interrupt)
Solutions
  1. 1 For Qubit 1.0: disconnect from computer, unplug, wait 10+ seconds, then plug back in
  2. 2 For Qubit 2.0: power off or unplug, wait 10+ seconds, then plug back in
  3. 3 Do NOT unplug or remove USB during firmware update
  4. 4 Download and install most current firmware version from manufacturer website
  5. 5 For Qubit 2.0 with serial number below 1104004846: use Windows OS for firmware update
  6. 6 Contact technical support if issue persists
