Triturating trypsinized retinal cells

Set up the trypsinized retinal tissue in 20% FPS in DPBS solution. This is the starting material for cell dissociation.

Start triturating the trypsinized retinal cells by pipetting up and down. The tissue begins to homogenize as mechanical dissociation begins.

Repeat pipetting motions multiple times until cell clumps are minimized and the suspension becomes homogeneous. Monitor for absence of visible cell aggregates.
