1
Gather tools and prepare workspace

2
Power down and unplug instrument

Turn off the Gel Doc EZ system completely and unplug it from the power source to ensure safety during the replacement procedure.

▶ 00:26
3
Remove exterior screws and cover

Remove seven screws around the outside edge of the instrument, leaving the bottom left corner screw in place. Carefully slide the cover toward the back and set it aside.

▶ 00:31
4
Access and extract lamp drawer assembly

Locate and remove the screw holding the lamp assembly drawer in place. Slide the bulb drawer out completely to expose all four lamps, applying firm pressure if the drawer sticks initially.

▶ 00:49
5
Replace all four UV lamps

Remove each lamp by twisting counterclockwise and sliding it out of position. Install each new lamp by inserting it and twisting clockwise to lock it in place, replacing all four bulbs for even illumination.

▶ 01:07
6
Reinstall lamp drawer and secure

Slide the lamp drawer back into the instrument and replace the securing screw. Push down the side of the drawer next to the screw tab if necessary to ensure proper hole alignment.

▶ 01:22
7
Replace cover and reconnect power

Slide the instrument cover back into place and replace all exterior screws. Reconnect the power cable and the Gel Doc EZ system is ready for use.
