Configure laser speckle contrast imaging system
Assemble and calibrate the moorFLPI LSCI device according to manufacturer specifications. Verify laser alignment and detector sensitivity before participant imaging.

Prepare participant for microcirculation imaging
Position participant, identify imaging site on skin, and stabilize the limb or region to minimize involuntary movement during speckle acquisition.

Acquire speckle contrast images during alternating flow states
Capture laser speckle images while participant performs controlled movements or speed changes (e.g., rest/exercise alternations) to record blood microcirculation at different velocities.

Process acquired speckle images using moorFLPI software to extract perfusion maps and calculate microcirculatory flow values, accounting for movement artifact compensation.
