Prepare skin and position aEEG electrodes
Clean and prepare the neonatal scalp surface, then position amplitude-integrated EEG electrodes according to standard electrode placement protocols for cerebral monitoring.

Initiate and calibrate aEEG recording
Start the cerebral function monitor recording and ensure proper signal acquisition and calibration from the applied electrodes.
Evaluate the aEEG output to assess normal cerebral function and electrocortical activity in the neonate using the amplitude-integrated monitor display.
