DOI: 10.3791/2438-v
What you'll learn
  • Prepare and fix Drosophila thoracic tissue for histological analysis
  • Generate paraffin-embedded sections for morphological examination
  • Create cryosections for protein localization and immunostaining
  • Detect lipid components in muscle tissue using specialized staining
Protocol

Biopharma Insights Identification of mechanisms underlying muscle damage is crucial. Here we present the histological technique for preparing paraffin-embedded and frozen sections of Drosophila thoracic muscles. This allows analysis of muscle morphology and localization of protein and other muscle cell components.
