Steps

1
Understand importance of balance leveling

Learn why an electronic balance must be level before use. An unlevel balance produces incorrect weight readings and can result in weighing too much or too little of ingredients.

2
Check level indicator and bubble position

Locate the level indicator on the electronic balance and identify where the air bubble is positioned. The balance is properly leveled when the bubble is centered within the circle on the indicator.

3
Learn foot adjustment rotation directions

Understand that adjustable feet control balance height. Turn feet counterclockwise to decrease height and clockwise to increase height. Start with all feet at the lowest possible position.

4
Adjust vertical level from bubble position

Interpret bubble position at 6:00 or 12:00 to indicate vertical misalignment. Adjust both back feet clockwise or counterclockwise simultaneously to center the bubble vertically.

▶ 01:26
5
Adjust horizontal level from bubble position

Interpret bubble position at 3:00 or 9:00 to indicate horizontal misalignment. Adjust the left and right back feet in opposite directions to center the bubble horizontally without compromising vertical leveling.

▶ 02:35
6
Finalize balance leveling and proceed

Confirm the air bubble is centered in the level indicator circle. Once the balance is properly leveled, proceed to the next step of calibration.
